Final post for the month

Happy Thursday! I am trying to be jolly but have got a horrendous cold so feel like my head is full of cotton wool, my right eye keeps watering and I have just one runny nostril (tmi?!). Grim. I have been honey, lemon and ginger-ing it up so hopefully it will pass soon.. grrrrr.

I am on a diet and so far I've lost about 9lb (since the beginning of the year). Seeing as I have two weddings and a hen do to attend in April/May, I best get the biscuit bug on board to pinch all my biscuits and not just the last one...

Sorry I've been a bit quiet

Good Afternoon One and All! :-)
SUPER NANA HUGS FOR YOU ALL as I feel like I've not been posting as much as usual, my apologies! Trying to juggle a full time (graphic design) job and trying to get my freelance Illustration stuffs off the ground plus enjoying everything life has to offer atm (wonderful family, perfect friends, my house and garden etc etc etc...) is proving fun but tricky! I have so many ideas flying about right now, I wish I had a bit more time to get them all down on paper!

Most of the time, I'm not even thinking about drawing for commercial purposes... I just like to get the ideas down and work out how they could be used at a later date. I thought about this little guy whilst planting various seeds in my conservatory the other day (I know it is early and therefore cold still, but I thought I'd go for it anyway. It paid off! THINGS HAVE ALREADY BEGUN TO SPROUT! Yey!). I am not brave enough to try growing courgettes just yet so that particular pack of seeds will stay tucked away for a little while longer...

What do you think of these two Crimbo designs? I realise they are stupidly early, apologies!

I think that the 2nd one is perhaps a little too obvious? I have others but I'm not sure they'd actually sell... I may post them at a later date if I'm feeling brave! xxx

HI EVERYONE!! All 30 of you :-) that makes me so jolly!! I honestly thought it would just be me posting on here and that no-one would read it; I am so flattered to actually have any followers let alone have 30 and have some truly lovely comments too! It's nice to know that I am able to spread the good vibes and positivity :-) I hadn't really been myself for quite some while but this blog has served as a bit of therapy for me really. Since I decided that I was no longer going to be down in the dumps and pull myself together, things have just gotten better and better. A smile is infectious so whatever your situation right now, keep on grinning. Even if it is to yourself and people think you are nuts. xxxx

A day for "busy-bee"-ness... bzzzzzz

Today I have been busying myself with sorting out my SPANGLY SPARKLING NEW facebook page, completing some more doodles and thinking up of other things for your viewing pleasure :-)  re. facebook: TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Ha ha ha, shameless plug!

Um, I have recently had some great news but I don't want to jinx it so will wait a little while longer before I properly announce it. I'm pretty terrible at keeping secrets of this kind so you'll probably find out beforehand anyway!

On a final note, I would like to say a big thank you again to everyone who has been so supportive you know who you are! I would like to say a special overseas thanks to The Book Florist who has left some very encouraging comments recently (I hope your studies are going well, GOOD LUCK!). Everyone please take a look at her inspiring blog if you get the chance; a must for all you book buffs out there! I especially enjoy her "word of the day" section and I shall be using such words in future illustrations if possible :-) ! Thanks again for all your support, I've had some wonderful comments recently. They really do make my day!
Anywho, I haven't mentioned any websites for a while but felt in neccessary to talk about this one! HA HA HA! I've been playing around with this for a while but it is only now that I feel as ok as I can be about it (the gallery needs some work...). INTRODUCING NannyS-A.co.uk!!

Expect some more tweaking in the near future!! I'm hoping to sell some prints at some point too, I'd be interested in knowing what you think people would most like... xxx

Super Happy Fun Times

Hey all :-)

I'm feeling most happy today. I think it's because I had such a fantastically busy weekend catching up with some lovely gorgeous people, buying a NEW KITCHEN (with my Dad's advice) and going to an Amos Lee gig last night with the lovely Bertie. It is fair to say things are positive and jolly indeed.
Anyway, here are some eggs. I love eggs.

Favourite pants...

Hi all! Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all who have been supportive and really cheering me on with all of my illustrative work; it is so great to have people actually like what I'm doing! Despite feeling all this love, I woke up a bit grumpy today so I decided to wear my favourite pants to cheer me up. They are not my sexy ones like above (!) but they... actually... I am not sure why I'm talking about this on here! I probably shouldn't, APOLOGIES! Ha Ha!

SUPER HAPPY TODAY WITH BELLS ON! Just found out I came runner up in the recent Tigerprint competition!! YEY! If that isn't an illustrative confidence boost I dont know what is!! Woo-hoo!!!

They said:

'Great illustration style and use of colour though the humour was a little close to the bone on a couple of cards – not sure it would suit the M&S customer. Could work well as a range'.

Hope you're all feeling full of sunshine like I am :-)  It feels like life is really coming together for me; nothing major has happened, I just am super happy and at peace at the moment. I think it's because my sister is so jolly right now (which doesn't happen that often). Her birthday party at the weekend was ace AND we have another family only one tonight! YIPPEEEEE! Who doesn't love Fridays?!

Helloooooooo lovelies :-) Hope you've had a productive week, mine has flown by! Can't believe it's the weekend already! I've got one of my bestest buddies coming over tomorrow; we'll both be heading out for my sister's ACTUAL birthday celebrations (not just the sister time wine tasting ones like last weekend!). Grr... car insurance time

Hello everyone :-)
I'm not sure if you have been paying close attention to the news, but there has been a big old hoo-ha about whether it is unfair for women to get cheaper car insurance DESPITE them being statistically better drivers. Apparently it IS unfair so as of December 2012, all female lovelies will probably have to pay A LOT more. Hmm... Well isn't it a coincidence that my renewal is due?!! I scoured the internet and the cheapest I could find was £400 although LOADS of companies wanted me to pay around £570 for exactly the same cover. WELL, MESSAGE TO YOU, CAR INSURERS:
